The treasurer of the Board of Control for Cricket Council (BCCI) Ajay Shirke may find a place in the three-man inquiry commission to probe the role of Gurunath Meiyappan in the spot-fixing scandal.

BCCI president N Srinivasan said that the three-member commission will comprise two members of the IPL Operations Committee and an independent.

Shirke is not part of the IPL Operations Committee which includes Arun Jaitley, Rajiv Shukla, Sanjay Jagdale and Ravi Shastri. Sources, however, said that the representative of the Maharashtra Cricket Association is likely to be included.
