Fearing arrest over his association with IPL betting kingpin Kitty alias Uttam Chand, clerk Vinodh Kumar has moved the Madras High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

In his bail application, Vinodh, who lives in Purasawalkam, submitted that before Kitty’s surrender, the CB-CID sleuths had visited his house on May 20.

As he was out of station, the officers took his brother Dinesh Kumar under the guise of interrogation and later released him after the surrender and arrest of Kitty.
