Three killed, eight injured in gas cylinder explosion

Three persons, including a woman and her teenage son were killed and eight injured in an LPG cylinder explosion at a house at nearby Aataiyampatty today, police said.    

While the woman and boy died on the spot, the body of a man was found under the debris of a nearby house, which was among three damaged in the blast, they said    

They said the explosion occured after the woman tried to light the gas stove unaware of a leak in the cylinder.     

The injured have been hospitalised.
