A 19-year old girl who had eloped with her boyfriend a day prior to her marriage has been set free by a local court here.
Savita, due to get married on April 23, had eloped with Ravi in Harsoli village on April 22 here. She was produced before the court yesterday to record her statement, police said Wednesday.
On the basis of a complaint filed by the girl's parents, police located her and produced her before the court where she said that her marrying was fixed against her wishes.
Savita also told the court that she is a major and wants to marry the person of her choice, they said.
