Modi: PM Can't See Anything Beyond Mother-son Duo

Attacking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi

Attacking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the PM can’t look beyond the mother-son duo (Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi) which makes him unable to see or accept that there is a Modi wave across the country.

Addressing a rally in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, Modi said, “Recently, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said that he did not see any Modi wave in the country. I want to ask him what does he see. Did he ever see the growing corruption, unemployment, poverty or the increasing number of farmer suicides. As he did not see all this, how can he see a Modi wave in the country. All he can see is the mother and son duo,” he said.

“The people have decided to throw out the ‘mother and son government. The country has wasted its precious 10 years on the Congress, and now it wants a strong and stable government,” he said. No matter what any astrologer says he was sure that his party is going to win in the ongoing elections, he said.

Modi claimed, “These elections are the hopes and dreams of millions of Indians. No matter what any astrologer or expert says, I know what is going to be the result of these elections. In fact by looking at any of the three rallies I conducted in the state, anyone can guess the outcome,”  “When Atalji was the prime minister, he had tried to protect the farmers by putting a duty on import, but the Congress has left the field open to foreigners, it doesn’t matter to them if the people of Himachal die. I promise you that if the BJP comes to power, I will never disappoint you,” he said.

Earlier in the day while addressing a rally in Palampur, Modi said, “They (Congress) said they will check price rise in 100 days, but has it gone? The Congress is a fraud party and has looted the nation.” Modi said, “I will give your dreams back to you. You don’t need to be disappointed, this country is strong. The country doesn’t need a ruler, but a social servant,” he said. He also addressed a rally in Mandi on Tuesday.
