Modi Congratulates Satyarthi, Malala

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai who received the Nobel Peace Prize for 2014 in Oslo.

"The entire nation watches the ceremony in Oslo with great joy and immense pride. Congratulations @k_satyarthi!

"I also congratulate the young Malala Yousafzai for the momentous achievement," Modi tweeted soon after the awards were conferred.

Satyarthi, an activist working against child labour, was  awarded the Nobel prize while the Pakistani teen bagged theaward for her activism to promote female education.
