President Complains of Stomach Upset, Admitted to Army Hospital

NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee was today admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital after he complained of stomach upset and related ailments.                

Mukherjee complained in the morning about some pain after which he was taken to the hospital where doctors attending on him suggested that he should be admitted for a day, official sources said.     

When contacted, Press Secretary Venu Rajamony said, "the President's health is being monitored and there is no cause of concern".           

Mukherjee, who turned 79 on December 11, will remain indisposed for a day, the sources said.
