KOLKATA: The RSS has decided to actively help the BJP strengthen its base in West Bengal to accomplish ‘Mission 2016’ and win the state Assembly polls.

Mohan-Bhagwat.jpgRSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will address his maiden public meeting here on Saturday to boost the morale of Sangh Parivar members.

The RSS has instructed its members to start  door to door campaigns across the state, highlighting the issue of infiltration and Islamic terror. The RSS has a strong presence in the border districts of West Bengal, which is facing a spurt in infiltrations from across its border with Bangladesh.

However, the blast at Khagragarh in Burdwan district on October 2 during Durga Puja has given a new and different twist to the entire problem of infiltration.

The RSS is aiming at making the Hindu majority believe that most political parties were using Muslims, particularly infiltrators from Bangladesh, as their vote bank. The increased presence of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh terrorists in West Bengal, who are using the state as their base to manufacture arms and explosives to be used against India and the the Awami League government in Bangladesh, is a new phenomenon.

Moreover, the increase in khariji madrasas, where youth, including women, are indoctrinated in jihadi philosophy and imparted training in manufacturing explosives by Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladeshterrorists, has become a cause for concern. The BJP and RSS have been jointly holding camps across the state in an attempt to build a rapport with voters.  The camps are being attended by thousands of teenagers and youth, particularly after the BJP’s unprecedented victory in the Lok Sabha polls in the country.

The RSS now has 300 pracharaks and more than 1,200 sakhas (units). Over the last three years, the organization has recorded a growth of around 12 percent each year in West Bengal.

As a part of its golden jubilee celebrations, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad will organize a rally at Shahid Minar here on Saturday. The RSS chief and other VHP leaders will address the event.

During his Dusshera speech, Bhagwat had mentioned West Bengal thrice and spoken in detail about how the demographic composition in the border districts of the state was changing due to infiltration from across the border.
