Amidst speculation within his own party about his future, Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader L K Advani has said that his political journey has still not ended.

Writing in his blog after a gap of over a month on Sunday, Advani said in his blog about his association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which he joined as a 14-year-old in Karachi, asserting that it brought “meaning to his life”

“That meaning got further enriched when I embarked on a political journey 55 years ago, first as a worker of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and later of the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is a journey that has not yet ended,” he said

There had been speculation that several of the senior leaders would not get a ticket for the next Lok Sabha elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh has, however, dismissed such claims, noting that Advani was free to choose his own Parliamentary seat to contest the forthcoming polls.
