Reliance Rubbishes AAP's Charges

The Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Industries on Tuesday refuted allegations levelled by the AAP against it and said neither the company nor its chairman held any illegitimate account.

A statement issued by the RIL said: “As stated earlier, it is being reiterated that neither Reliance Industries Limited nor Mr Mukesh Ambani has or had any illegitimate account anywhere in the world.”

AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had at an election rally in Rohtak in Haryana read out numbers of what he claimed were two Swiss bank accounts belonging to Mukesh and Anil Ambani. Earlier this month, Kejriwal filed FIRs against Mukesh, Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily and two others for allegedly creating artificial scarcity of natural gas and hiking gas price.

It said it had business interests in several countries with a turnover of thousands of crores of rupees.
