Rajmohan Gandhi Gets AAP Ticket

Mahatama Gandhi’s grandson Rajmohan Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha elections from East Delhi as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday released the second list of 30 candidates.

Mahatama Gandhi’s grandson Rajmohan Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha elections from East Delhi as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday released the second list of 30 candidates. Gandhi, who had joined the party last week, has been pitted against Sandeep Dikshit, Congress MP and son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

The list include one candidate each from Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir, three from Rajasthan, five from Haryana, six from Madhya Pradesh and 10 from Maharashtra.

Another prominent name is former BJP MP Rajan Sushant, who has been given ticket from Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. He had quit the BJP last month after accusing former state Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his son Anurag Singh Thakur of corruption.The party has given ticket to Naveen Jaihind who will take on Rohtak’s sitting MP Deepender Singh Hooda, son of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, while Balwinder Kaur, a farmer activist, will take on Congress leader and Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal. Former deputy chief of Army staff Lt Gen (Retd) Raj Kadyan will contest from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan.
