The Haryana Town and Country Planning Department has chalked out a comprehensive plan by revising layouts, framing policies for stilt parking, setting up fuel outlets and providing various facilities in high density zones, among others.

The department has also notified 32 draft plans and 18 final plans for 2021, whereas 16 development plans have been notified for 2025-2031.

The process to acquire 215 hectares of land has been initiated in Sector 68 for a state university at Gurgaon, as announced by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The department has been receiving complaints and facing litigation in respect of the revision of the layout of residential plotted colony and building plans of group housing colony, especially in case of green spaces.

To avoid these, the department has extended the policy in respect of revision of layout plan since May 13, 2011 in case of plotted colonies and group housing colonies.

In the case of stilt parking, the department has framed a policy in the licensed colonies and CLU-granted plots.

On fixation of area norms or setting parameters for grant of CLU, permission for setting up of retail outlet for CNG, petroleum, natural gas station, petrol pump, fuel-filling station, a comprehensive policy regarding minimum requirement of land in the urban areas or controlled areas along national highways or scheduled roads and other roads has been formulated.

Provision of high-density zones in different development plans has been made with a view to accommodating more people.

This policy has been formulated by the department so that the required community facilities can be  made available in these zones.

In supersession of earlier policies, a new comprehensive policy regarding grant of licence for the development of Industrial Colony or Cyber Park or Cyber City has been formulated.

A special dispensation has been given for de-notified SEZs in the state.

A one-time relaxation for such de-notified SEZs has been given from the zoning regulations except residential zone of respective development plans.

The state government has already decided to develop a global corridor along the KMP which would have different theme cities.

Out of these two sports cities, one would be at Sonepat-Kundli Urban Complex and the other at Sohna.

He said that the theme cities to be set up along the global corridor included Education City, Cyber City, Bio-Science City, Medi City, Fashion City, Entertainment City, World Trade City, Sports City, Leather City, Leisure City, and Dry Port City in a few clusters.

The KMP Expressway is being developed by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation.
