Aiming to marshal all its personnel before the 2014 elections, the BJP is all set to hold the biggest congregation of party workers here next week.

The crucial three-day event would see  participation of over 10,000 office bearers, from district party presidents to its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. The party’s national executive council meeting would be held from January 17 to 19, BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar told reporters.

Interestingly, the BJP’s national meet coincides with that of the Congress, where  Rahul Gandhi is likely to be anointed as the party’s prime ministerial candidate or the party president, replacing Sonia Gandhi.  Any announcement from the Congress camp would be matched with a political response from the BJP’s national meeting. “The meeting will be attended by district party presidents, general secretaries, all the MPs, over 1,000 MLAs, chief ministers and ministers.”

There would also be strategy sessions so that message to hoist Modi as the PM percolate down to party cadre.
