Badaun Case: Fresh Autopsy to be Held

NEW DELHI: The CBI, probing into the alleged rape and murder of two girls in Badaun, UP, is likely to exhume their bodies on Sunday for a fresh autopsy.

According to CBI sources, forensic experts had also recommended a fresh autopsy before concluding the opinion in the case, which had triggered nationwide outrage.

Sources said suspicions were also raised over the findings of the first post-mortem, which was conducted at night, violating laid down medical procedures. Moreover, it was alleged that the post-mortem was conducted by a doctor who had no prior experience.

Two minor sisters aged 14 and 15, went missing from their house in Katra village on the night of May 27, and their bodies were found hanging from a tree the following morning.
