NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved President Pranab Mukherjee’s address to be delivered at the joint sitting of Parliament on June 9, in which the Narendra Modi Government’s roadmap will be outlined.

The main agenda of the Cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister was the approval of the presidential address. Several Ministers pressed for its inclusion, a source said.

The Presidential address will be followed by a debate on the Motion of Thanks and Prime Minister Modi will reply to the debate in both the Houses of Parliament.

The week-long session of the new Lok Sabha, which began on Wednesday, will end on June 11.

The upper House will discuss the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address on 10th and 11th of June.
