Hitting out at Priyanka Gandhi for her “neech rajniti” remarks against Narendra Modi, BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said those who are inexperienced in politics should and must think four times before using such words. “This is the word which she had used and particularly in the social context of India, the use of this word has to be avoided,” said Jaitley.

On Monday, Priyanka accused Modi of insulting “my martyred father on Amethi’s soil” after the Gujarat CM said Rajiv Gandhi had once insulted an Andhra Pradesh chief minister.

Keeping up the pressure on Priyanka, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said instead of Modi, she should be the one apologising for bad language. “Priyanka Vadra should apologise to the people of the country as Modi is not just the PM candidate of the party but also of the people,” he said.

Hussain said the kind of language being used by its leaders shows that Congress is highly frustrated that elections results will not favour them. He also attacked Sonia Gandhi, who had accused Modi of not knowing history.

“Sonia Gandhi says that Narendra Modi should know about history. But, when Mod talks about history, she gets hassled,” added Hussain.
