Arms and Ammunition Recovered in Jharkand

Security personnel today recovered arms and ammunitions from Kuntia jungle under Sonua police station of Naxal-affected West Singhbhum district.

CRPF and District Armed Police personnel launched a search operation in the jungle and recovered 17 detonators, three .303 bore service rifles and 170 cartridges, said CRPF commandant Asgar Habib.

The search operation was undertaken following a lead provided by CPI (Maoists) "Area Commander" Sanjay Bodra, who had been arrested from Karaikela recently, he said.

Habib said the arms and ammunition were hidden beneath the ground in the jungle.
