‘Degree, Income, Wi-fi’ is AAP Mantra for Delhi Youth

NEW DELHI: By launching its much-touted “Delhi Dialogue”, the AAP on Saturday  kick-started its campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls. In its manifesto,  the AAP has vowed to initiate a slew of welfare measures, including opening new educational institutions, providing free Wi-fi facility,  more jobs and carrying out an anti-drug campaign, if the party were voted to power.

Addressing a crowd of around 5,000 supporters at Jantar Mantar, Kejriwal said “scores of students had been deprived of higher education as no new colleges were opened in Delhi for the last 15-20 years. Opening  20 new colleges would be the top priority of the party if it wins the forthcoming Assembly elections”.

“Degree, Income aur Wi-fi,  Aam Aadmi Party Laayi”,   was the new party slogan that was released on Saturday. A song composed by music director duo Vishal- Shekhar titled “Paanch saal Kejriwal” was released on the occassion.

 Speaking after releasing the manifesto, AAP leader Yogendra Yadav said, “Besides the Delhi Dialogue initiative, we will create a system to involve the common man of Delhi in the decision-making process”.

Atul Bhatnagar, COO of the National Skill Development Corporation, and Mahesh Murthy, a venture capitalist,were present. The  five-point agenda for Delhi was also released here.
