Modi Congratulates Indian Women's Kabaddi Team

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday congratulated the Indian women's kabaddi team on winning the gold medal in the Asian Games.

"I congratulate them on winning the gold medal. A phenomenal accomplishment!" the prime minister said in a statement.

He said that the Indian women's kabaddi team has made the country very proud.

Indian women's team defeated Iran 31-21 for its second successive kabaddi gold medal in the Asian Games.
