CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Police on Sunday booked four youth for allegedly kidnapping, sedating and gangraping a girl, 17, in Alamgir village near Ludhiana in Punjab.

The police said a case for rape, kidnapping and threatening had been registered against the four accused -- Sonu, Raja of Shahzada Fateh Singh Nagar  and Soni and Nindi of Daba -- on the complaint of the victim’s mother, who had alleged that her daughter was gangraped on Saturday, as she left for school.

The mother stated that her daughter, who studied in Government High School in Lohara, left for the school from their house in Mohala Basant Nagar around 8 am on Saturday.
