Jaitley Discharged from AIIMS

NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Finance and Defence Arun Jaitley on Monday was discharged from the AIIMS here, where he was admitted for observation on September 28, after undergoing treatment at Max Hospital, Saket.  Jaitley had been kept in isolation at the AIIMS’ Cardiothoracic and Neurosciences Centre to avoid any re-occurrence of the infection for which he has been shifted to AIIMS from Max hospital.

Doctors said Jaitley had complained of a stomach infection after his surgery. When he was shifted to AIIMS, he was treated for a respiratory infection that he developed later.

AIIMS spokesperson Amit Gupta said, “He has recovered well and has been discharged on Monday.”
