TMC Leader under Intel Scanner

NEW DELHI: A senior leader of ruling Trinamool Congress has come under the scanner of Central intelligence agencies, which has launched a coordinated probe with the help of the NIA to look into Burdwan terror case. An intelligence officer said they had picked up three-four terror suspects and subsequent interrogation yielded certain leads in the case. “The suspects were under the scanner of agencies in a case related to arms smuggling from Bangladesh. A team of senior interrogators from IB, R&AW and NIA are questioning their links with terrorists killed while making IEDs in Khagragarh on Thursday ,” sources added.

An almost complete Rocket Launcher and sophisticated circuit boards to detonate the IEDs were part of the terrorists’ ammunition that was destroyed by West Bengal Police before the intelligence agencies got the nod  for probing the terror incident in Khagragarh, Burdwan.
