Columnist may Head Prasar Bharati

NEW DELHI: Columnist A Surya Prakash has emerged as frontrunner for the post of Prasar Bharati’s chairman. The post had fallen vacant after incumbent chairperson Mrinal Pande’s term got over. 

Prakash has worked with several newspapers and even have authored books on naming of government schemes after Nehru-Gandhi family; and misuse of MPLAD funds. He is also a member of think tank, Vivekananda International Foundation. It has been acting as talent pool for the Centre as a number of senior officials like NSA Ajit Doval, PM’s Principal Secretary Nripendra Misra, and P K Mishra, Additional Principal Secretary to the PM were earlier members of this body.
