NEW DELHI: Taking suo moto cognisance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s allegation against Robert Vadra and the DLF land deal, the Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday asked the Haryana Chief Secretary and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to send a detailed report on the issue. Sources said the EC wanted to know the exact facts regarding the deal. The Commission wanted to know whether violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) had occurred or not. While dragging Vadra’s controversial land deal into the public domain, Modi on Monday urged the EC to look into the whole issue citing Code violation.
