Army Steps In to Face Hudhud

NEW DELHI: In view of the impending cycle Hudhud, which is headed for Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coast, the Army has mobilised its resources to meet any contingency.

According to the Army, it has positioned eight rescue teams and four engineer task forces at Vishkhapatnam and Srikakulam in Andhra, while eight such teams have been mobiled to Gopalpur in Odisha, including road opening parties.

The Army also said additional resources have also been kept on standby and will be moved in depending upon the situation, which is being monitored closely.
