Bihar CM 'Threatens' Doctors

PATNA: Once again targeting the doctors of Bihar, Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, who is known for his controversial statements, threatened to “chop off” their hands, in a public meeting in Motihari.

“I will chop off the hands of those doctors who ignore the poor. I’m ready to face any consequence for that,” Manjhi said.

“Manjhi is issuing such statements to gain popularity in media. This does not suit a man of Chief Minister’s  stature,” said senior BJP leader Griraj Singh, denouncing him.

Earlier, after the Patna stampede, the Chief Minister had taken stern action against some doctors, including superintendent of the Patna Medical College Hospital.

Recently, Rashtriya Janata Dal parliamentarian Pappu Yadav too had organised a Jan Adalat against the exorbitant fees charged by doctors in the state.
