A total of 21 cases have been registered against SP leader Maninderpal Singh and his accountant Diwan Singh by Incholi police, said SHO of Incholi police station Tej Singh.

The cases have been registered on the direction issued by a court after the complainants approached it, he said.

Of the 21 cases, 14 have been lodged by Amar Singh and seven by Dheer Singh.

The IPC Sections invoked against the accused are 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of valuable security) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document).
