As the investigation into the fake degree scam involving former Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh is still underway, the AAP leader is said to have confessed that he got his degree certificates from two agents.
Quoting certain sources, the Hindustan Times has reported that Tomar revealed to the investigators that he procured his BSc and LLB degrees from two agents in Delhi and Munger.
Tomar has reportedly disclosed during the interrogation that he wanted to be a graduate to be socially acceptable though he was poor in studies.
Tomar, who had claimed to have an LLB degree from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University and a BSc degree from from Awadh University, has also revealed the names of the agents who he procured the certificates from.
The paper has also quoted the sources as saying Tomar's brother, who is also an advocate, had introduced him to the agent to get the certificate without enrolling the course. According to sources, Tomar procured the B.Sc degree in 2001.
Meanwhile a sessions court on Tuesday allowed Tomar to withdraw bail plea with liberty to file it afresh before court concerned after 4-day remand period is over.
Tomar was on Monday remanded in four-day police custody after Delhi Police stated before the court that his custody was required to ascertain the facts related to the migration certificate obtained by the accused from Bundelkhand University.
