MUMBAI: The Mumbai auto rickshaw union on Wednesday called for a state-wide strike to press for their demands of banning the entry of mobile application-based cabs such as Uber, Ola and Meru Plus into the city.

The strike, which follows Swabhiman Union’s taxi strike on Monday, has been called by the Mumbai Autorickshawmen's Union.

The Mumbai Autorickshawmen Union, led by Shashank Rao, is the largest auto union in the city.
