Myanmar Delegation Meets Army Commander in Kolkata

A Myanmar delegation led by Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services of Myanmar, met Indian Army officials, a defence official said.

KOLKATA: A Myanmar delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services of Myanmar, met Indian Army officials here, a defence official said today.

The delegation discussed various issues with Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi, Eastern Army Commander, during the visit to Eastern Command headquarters at Fort William here yesterday.

"They emphasised the need for enhanced cooperation between security forces and border guarding agencies for maintaining peace, security and stability in the border areas," the defence official said.
