School Evacuated After Receiving Bomb Threat Call in Kolkata

KOLKATA: A school in north Kolkata was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat call this morning, police said.   

Students, teachers and all officials were taken to a nearby ground after the headmaster of Dumdum's Kendriya Vidyalaya got a bomb threat call at 9.22 AM, they said.      

"The call was made from a landline number. The caller said the bomb was inside a student's bag," a police officer said.   

A police team from Dumdum Police Station and bomb disposal squad rushed to the school after receiving a call from the headmaster, he said.  

"We are searching all possible places where a bomb can be kept as well as bag of every student of the school," the officer said.
