'Shameless Government, Voiceless PM', Congress Chants at Parliament Protest

NEW DELHI: The Congress Party led by Sonia Gandhi on Friday continued with the protest against the suspension of 25 MPs at the Gandhi statue in Parliament premises.

The protestors were seen wearing black bands and holding black flags on the fourth day of the protest today.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was also present during the protest along with several other senior leaders, including Gulam Nabi Azad, Ahmad Patel, Anand Sharma, Raj Babbar, Jairam Ramesh and Shashi Tharoor.

The protestors held hoardings which read ‘Speak up Prime Minister’ and ‘Shameless Government, voiceless PM’.

Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan had earlier this week suspended 25 Congress MPs over disruption of parliamentary proceedings under ruling 374 (A), leading to outrage from various quarters.
