NEW DELHI:Launching a sharp attack on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley dubbed him an expert without knowledge. Speaking in the Lower House after Rahul launched an attack against External Affairs Minister Sushama Swaraj and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jaitley said Sushma tried to help whoever got in touch with her and the Congress was just trying to make a mountain of what is not even a molehill.

“The difficulty with Rahul is that he is an expert without knowledge. So, without knowing the case, he is presuming that Sushma only wanted to help out one man and not these (other) persons,” Jaitley said.

Jaitley turned the tables on the Congress asking what steps the erstwhile UPA Government took to expedite the pending FEMA. Taking a dig at Rahul, Jaitley questioned the UPA’s act in the entire matter.

“Tell me what you did before May 2014 to bring back Lalit Modi? You can simply use words ‘the centre of black money’ or ‘the symbol of black money’, but what steps did your government take to bring black money lying abroad back to India? We have taken some hard steps,” he said.

Referring to Rahul’s speech where he mentioned Mahatma Gandhi’s three Monkeys, the minister said you (Rahul) ran a failed government and now when things are looking up, you are trying to sabotage the growth.
