FTII Midnight Crackdown: Police Arrest 5 Students, File FIR Against 15 Others

The FTII controversy refuses to die down after in an unexpected move, police entered the institute campus late on Tuesday night and arrested seven students and filed FIR against 15 other students.

A case was filed against them by FTII Director Prashant Pathrabe after he was allegedly held captive by students opposing on the assessment of 2008 batch projects.

The police entered the campus at around 11:30 PM with a warrant mentioning other unnamed students to be taken under custody, with non bailable offenses.

While the I&B Ministry has already announced that a committee will be sent to institution soon to resolve pending issues.
