HYDERABAD: Union Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday alleged that the Congress Party is unable to digest the fact that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is bringing in speedy development in the country.

“We request the Congress to keep politics at the back seat and think for the welfare of the nation. Modi ji has got mandate but Congress is not ready to accept its defeat and not able to digest the fact that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is bringing development in the nation at a very fast rate,” Naidu told ANI.

He further said that the government will soon take a call on the special Parliament Session for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill.

“Discussions are still on. We will decide soon if we want to call a special parliament session on GST and other important issues like the discussion on the economic situations of the country and  negotiable instrument act,” he added.

Speaking on OROP issue Venkhaiah Naidu further said: “The government is very positive on this issue.”
