Rajnath Visits Injured Security Men in AIIMS

NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today visited the AIIMS to enquire the condition of two security personnel, who were injured in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir and Odisha.

Singh met Mohammad Salim of Jammu and Kashmir Police who is recuperating at the AIIMS here after he was injured in Baramullah when militants fired a police team last month. The Home Minister also met BSF jawan Ashok Kumar, who was badly injured in an ambush in Malkangiri district in Odisha on July 27.

The Home Minister enquired their condition with doctors too and wished the injured the personnel speedy recovery, an official said. BSF Assistant Commandant Ashok Kumar, was leading his squad that was attacked by Maoists near the Janbai post in Malkangiri district.

Three Border Security Force personnel were killed in the attack while Kumar was severely injured and was referred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences a day later.
