PM Modi Arrives Home After Attending Paris Climate Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the national capital on Tuesday after attending the Climate Summit in Paris.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the national capital on Tuesday after attending the Climate Summit in Paris.

In a tweet just before his departure for New Delhi, MEA official spokesperson Vikas Swarup said Prime Minister Modi enplanes after an important day at COP21, redeeming India's pledge to Mother Earth.

During his two-day visit, the Prime Minister addressed the opening session of COP 21 and inaugurated an Indian pavilion there.

He also held meetings with his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif and US President Barack Obama.

The Prime Minister attended the 'Mission Innovation' event hosted by Obama where he asserted that innovation initiative should be driven by public purpose, not just market incentives.

Later, Prime Minister Modi launched a 122-country solar alliance with French President Francois Hollande.
