Sisodia to CBI: Aren't you Leaking Info at PM's Behest ?

If the information was being leaked at the lower level then accountability would have to be fixed in the matter, said Sisodia.

NEW DELHI: The CBI has been leaking information pertaining to the raid conducted at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's office at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said.

After it failed to get any incriminating evidence in the raid it conducted on December 15, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had resorted to leaking information to the media to tarnish the image of the city government and its officers, wrote Sisodia to CBI chief Anil Kumar Sinha.

"By leaking information, it is being spread that five audio recordings were recovered in the raid conducted at the Chief Minister's Office and the ambit of probe should be expanded," Sisodia said in his letter dated December 25.

"I want to know whether these news stories are being leaked at the directive of Prime Minister Narendra Modi because CBI directly reports to him."

If the information was being leaked at the lower level then accountability would have to be fixed in the matter, said Sisodia.

He said if Sinha did not take appropriate steps, it would only prove that the prime minister was misusing the CBI to defame his political opponents.
