1.13 Crore People Take BJP Membership in UP

People are appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi\'s work and acceptability of the Central government is increasing among them.

LUCKNOW:  At least 1.13 crore new members have registered themselves with BJP during its membership drive in Uttar Pradesh.

"Our membership drive in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where BJP was considered weak, is receiving tremendous support. While over 10 lakh persons have joined BJP in Kerala, over 12 lakh have become member of the party in Tamil Nadu," National incharge of BJP membership campaign Dinesh Sharma told reporters here.

"We are getting a good response in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Assam, Odisha and West Bengal. In South, BJP's expansion will not only be at organisational level but it will also form government," he said.

People are appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's work and acceptability of the Central government is increasing among them, he added.

In reply to a question, Sharma claimed that after March 31, BJP would be the biggest party in the world in terms of its membership.
