BJP Government's 100 Days: Maharashtra CM Seeks Report Cards From Ministers

MUMBAI: Indicating that the Narendra Modi model is a template for him, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has demanded report cards from his cabinet colleagues on the work done by their departments, ahead of the BJP-led government completing 100 days in office.

"All ministers have to submit decisions taken by (respective) departments in the last three months to the Chief Minister's Office," Industries Minister Subhash Desai said, adding, the report card has to be submitted within next two days.

When asked if the instructions to submit a report of progress have been given on the lines of the Prime Minister's Office, Desai said, "You could (say) that.. To put it simply, it can be termed as a progress card of each ministry."

An official from the CMO said that Fadnavis will make public the report card from each ministry when his government, also comprising alliance partner Shiv Sena, completes 100 days in office.

"A consolidated report will be published on February 7. The ministers have asked to state major decisions taken by their ministries, which has had an impact on industrial and developmental growth of the state.

The chief minister is very serious about the 'Make in Maharashtra' mission," he said.

The official said as the BJP government won a massive mandate on the back of a development agenda last year, the CM now expects his cabinet colleagues to take decisions with the same vigour.
