Haryana Govt to Enact Law for the Protection of Cows

CHANDIGARH:Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP Government in Haryana on Tuesday announced that it would soon promulgate a law for cow protection and preservation.

“The state government has decided to enact a law for cow protection and preservation. With a view to promote cow rearing, the government has decided to give 50 per cent subsidy for setting up mini dairies in the state,” the CM said on the occasion of his government completing 100 days in office.

According to Khattar, “We shall answer the expectations of people who have given us a positive mandate. (Also), the government would not spare anyone, who has misused the public exchequer. Such money would be recovered and restored to the exchequer”, he added.

He said that about 17,000 grievances have been received since the launch of ‘CM Window’ and the grievances redress mechanism, out of which action taken report(ATR) on 3,380 grievances have already been received and the rest are under process as one month’s time is required for taking the follow-up action.

Khattar said, “The Swah-Prerit Aadarsh Gram Yojana” would be implemented on the lines of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana for development of villages in the state. Any individual, society, trust or NGO could also adopt villages under this ambitious scheme. Six toll centres have been removed thus giving benefits of about `52 crore to the people. Apart from this, work on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway would soon be allotted to another company to ensure completion of the project. The survey of 200-km-long Yamuna Expressway along with Western Yamuna canal would be carried out. As many as five new NHs have been announced. The four laning of Yamunanagar-Panchkula road on NH-73 is also being initiated. He said that for providing the impetus to industries, single window system would soon be started to enable granting of approvals under one roof.
