Supreme Court Declines TMC's Plea Against CBI Probe into Saradha Scam

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has today declined the please filed by the Trinamool Congress, which sought to monitor the CBI probe in the infamous Saradha Chift Fund scam.

The apex court has also dismissed the allegations leveled by the government of West Bengal, which said that CBI was allegedly leaking selective information on the probe to the media.

Notably, the Supreme Court has allowed the prosecution of  193 non-Saradha cases in which charge sheet has been filed by the state police.
