JAIPUR: Rajasthan Congress today alleged that the Vasundhara Raje government in Rajasthan is deliberately delaying the Jaipur Metro rail works and also not protecting the heritage of the Pink City.

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Sachin Pilot, in a statement here, said the BJP government was making it a fun by not ensuring the execution of Metro rail works smoothly and protecting the heritage of the Pink City.

During civil works of Jaipur Metro rail, there was disruption of electricity supplies as the metro phase two was being constructed underground from Chandpole to Bari Chaupar, Pilot said, adding that there was some damage to the shops in the market due to drilling.

Over the closure of Maharaja Government School which was closed down and asked to vacate it by a High Court order in the walled city by February 20, he said the state government should plead in the court to save this school meant for girls only.
