Delhi Poll Results: What's on BJP's Mind ?

The results in Delhi are likely to energise other poltical parties across the states who were finding BJP invincible.

NEW DELHI: The stunning defeat meted out to the BJP by the AAP has left the saffron party searching for answers. As pall of gloom descended on BJP headquarters, BJP leaders claimed it was Congress decimation that resulted in AAP making a clean sweep. The BJP state leaders, on condition of anonymity, blame it on Kiran Bedi's last minute induction into the campaign to be have demoralised the cadre. AAP promised moon for Delhi, while we were still cautious in making promises, a state leader said. We should have also promised big, he added, suggesting that voters were taken in by promises like free wifi, water, power to people.

Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said we will introspect on the results. Congress' votesd have transferred to the AAP.

The results have come on a day when BJP chief is in Ahmedabad for marriage of his son. Entire top leadership will travel there.
