TMC Government Not Cooperating, Says Venkaiah

KOLKATA:Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday sent out a strong signal to Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government in West Bengal, saying non-cooperation by the states will not lead to development and that Central funds will be allocated only after the sanctioned projects are completed. He also said that for the sake of development, the Centre will work together with the states irrespective of politics.

And Venkaiah, who along with MoS Urban Development Babul Supriyo attended a  HUDCO workshop on ‘urbanization’ here, said,“We( the Centre and the non-BJP states) are not enemies, but political opponents. For the sake of development, we will work together with the state governments irrespective of which party is in power.”
