MUMBAI:The political struggle by BJP stalwart, the late Gopinath Munde would soon hit the silver screen.

Sanjay Ghuge,a BJP official,  would be producing the biopic on Munde who died in a freak road mishap in Delhi on June 3. “It would be a commercial movie, not a documentary. We would begin the shooting soon on an appropriate and auspicious day,” Ghuge said.

The movie titled ‘Sangharsh Yatra’ would begin from Munde’s accidental death and narrate his life story in a flashback. “We have tried to include almost every important moment from his political and personal life in the movie. Munde saheb’s work was above any community. I hope the movie would make his followers relive his eventful life,” Ghuge said.

Munde, who came from a humble background, used to walk some 15 km daily to attend school. The movie would focus on how a shy child overcame the obstacles in his personal and political life to rise through the ranks.

According to Ghuge, the movie would also have a character depicting, the late Pramod Mahajan, who was Munde’s charismatic brother-in-law. “Munde saheb’s story won’t be complete without mentioning Pramodji and their equation,” he said.
