JK: Four Trapped in Snow Rescued by Army Personnel

JAMMU: Four people trapped in snow in Kawlu forest area of Ramban district were rescued by a team of army personnel, officials said here today.

"Troops of Delta Force rescued four stranded civilians late last night when they got trapped in snow in Kawalu of Khari Tehsil in Ramban district," Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said.

He said the local residents had gone out for hunting when they got trapped in the heavy snow.

"The troops of Delta Force, on receiving this information, immediately rushed to the spot with rescue equipment and managed to evacuate the victims to safety," he said, adding that stranded people had sustained minor injuries to which the army provided first aid.
