Freed Priest in Afghanistan Meets Swaraj

New Delhi:  Returning after eight-month captivity in Afghanistan, Indian priest Alexis Prem Kumar, today called on External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj here.

47-year-old Kumar, who was accompanied by his family during the meeting, thanked Swaraj for the efforts made by the government to get him released.

He had been abducted by gunmen from Herat in June, 2014 and was being held captive in war-torn Afghanistan. He returned on Sunday.
