Dense Fog in Delhi Delays 60 Trains

While 10 trains were rescheduled as the visibility was just around 200 metres in Delhi.

NEW DELHI: It was a chilly Sunday morning here with dense fog delaying over 60 trains. The Met office, however, forecast a sunny day ahead.

According to Northern Railway, 60 trains were running late and 10 trains were rescheduled. One train was cancelled due to fog.

Visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 200 metres.

The minimum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 6.4 degrees Celsius.

"There was dense fog in the morning. However, the day is likely to be clear with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 19 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 100 percent.

Saturday's maximum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 21.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius, also a notch above the season's average.
