PM Modi Cancels Varanasi Trip Citing Unfortunate Death of Labourer

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has yet again cancelled his trip to Varanasi because of the unfortunate death of a labourer, due to electrocution at the venue of the rally.

“Prime Minister has cancelled his visit to Varanasi because of unfortunate death of a labourer due to electrocution at the rally venue,” BJP Uttar Pradesh chief Laxmikant Bajpai told ANI.

This is the second time the Prime Minister Modi has cancelled his trip to his constituency.

Prime Minister Modi was scheduled to launch Integrated Power Development Scheme, IPDS aimed at providing affordable, reliable and round the clock power supply to urban areas and was also supped to lay the foundation stone for various development projects and also scheduled to address a public meeting.
